The Dancing for a Cause networking/fundraising event marked another milestone of NAAAP’s devotion to serve the community, as the great turnout from the event reflected success both in raising funds for two terrific non-profit organizations and in engaging local professionals to support the cause.

The networking event with a fun twist of Salsa took place on November 4th, 2010 at Churrascaria Braza where more than fifty attendees were present. Organizers of the event incorporated Salsa dance lessons and offered free appetizers as a way of appreciation for attendees’ support. Participants had the opportunity to see the instructors deliver dance moves with ease and precision; they were also able to share the joy of learning the fun and challenging twist and turns of the Salsa dance. The night was filled with constant laughter -- an unassailable evidence of the event’s success.  Also with the support of the attendees as well as various sponsors, NAAAP was able to raise hundreds of dollars for two wonderful programs that are making a difference in the community. The charity recipients of the fundraising event are Junior League’s Backpack Program which supplies necessary food for impoverished children and their families and Khmer Legacies, a non-profit organization devoted to building awareness on Cambodian genocide.

The Dancing for a Cause event certainly offered a glimpse to NAAAP’s contribution to and positive impact on the community. Click here to view photos
