On October 27, 2010, NAAAP Connecticut, in partnership with the ING Asian Employee Resource Group hosted a workshop on Redefining Leadership: Unlocking Your Full Leadership Potential. More than fifty individuals attended this professional development event held at the ING Headquarters in Windsor, CT.

This insightful and practical workshop featured David O’Brien of Workchoice Solutions, LLC. David O’Brien, author and leadership consultant, works with a wide range of corporate and non-profit clients to help bring about sustainable improvements in organizational effectiveness. His first book, The Navigator’s Handbook, 101 Leadership Lessons for Work & Life was released in July 2008 and is available on-line and in bookstores nationwide. His 2nd book, Tapping Your Leadership Wisdom is expected in bookstores next year.

In his presentation, David provided an overview the state of leadership 2010, the power of personal accountability, finding your true north, defining your leadership formula, overcoming barriers to success, and unlocking your true potential as a leader. The presentation concluded with an engaging Q&A session which garnered significant attendee participation as well as a book signing opportunity for participants.

Thank you to the attendees and a big thank you to Patrick Chung and Douglas Wilke, Chairs of the ING Asian Employee Resource Group who worked diligently with us to make this event possible. Special thanks to David O’Brien for his generous time and support of our professional development programs. Click here to view photos from the event.
